Professional Summary
Ms. Torres practices all aspects of civil litigation. She is engaged in defending our clients in first-party bad faith claims as well as third-party liability claims. She also reviews, evaluates, and prepares recommendations involving various complex insurance coverage issues and assessing demands. In practice, Ms. Torres believes communication is essential and provides her clients with insights regarding any risks and issues which may arise during her review and defense in all matters. She also believes this skill is necessary when communicating with opposing counsels to ensure all matters are efficiently handled in a professional and civil manner.
Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Torres obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After, she briefly attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, where she was enrolled as a certified law student at their Small Business Law Center in the Trademark Clinic. In 2018, she was selected as a scholarship recipient from the Kern County Bar Association, Women Lawyers Section. She then transferred and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Pacific – McGeorge School of Law. There, Ms. Torres was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Engle Chapter, McGeorge Women’s Caucus, McGeorge’s Community Garden, and graduated with a Certificate of Concentration in Intellectual Property Law.
She also interned at various boutique law firms focused on personal injury and criminal defense. Ms. Torres also volunteered at the California Lawyers for the Arts in Sacramento and after, obtained a certificate for their Basic Mediation Skills Training in conflict resolution. In her free time, she enjoys antique thrifting and spending time with her family, friends, and cats.
